The Greatest Show on Turf
WWII Living History Participant Information
This is a very nice airshow of mostly World War Two Aircraft, which is held just south of Rochester, New York, in a small college town, called Geneseo. The Museum and airshow are held on a grass strip area, which is part of the museum's property. It is a very large flat and open area, which is not fenced in. The museum's airport is private, which makes this easy for re-enactor setup and participation. This airshow has recently been rated among the top 10 in North America
In the past few years, the WW2 Living History participants have always enjoyed this show. All past participants are returning this year. We try to make this show FUN, and relaxing. It is a nice weekend to interact with the airshow participants, the public, vendors and your fellow Living History enthusiasts.
We usually have a formal military morning formation to raise the colors and announce information. We, usually, also parade onto the field, around noon, in front of the viewing stands, for a tribute and salute, to honor History / Reenactment event requires some effort and work, but try to leave some time to enjoy yourself, at this event also. We are not a real sophisticated staff with a bunch of rules and reasons to say no to you.
